Douglas fir trees in the Northwest

Oh, how I love trees and snow.

Drive 30 minutes from Seattle, hike up a hill, and experience this!

What a treat.

I’m feeling nostalgic today. This was the view from my kitchen window; a large stand of douglas fir trees.

It took 60 years for the trees to grow tall and one afternoon for them to fall. Sad. (Yeah, I’m a Seattle tree-hugger).

Lily pads

Reflections of trees + lily pads = interesting

reticulation – the formation of a network of cracks or wrinkles in a photographic emulsion.

Back in the day, I remember changing the temperature between film baths to try and cause film reticulation. Digital photography makes reticulation a wee bit easier. Click. Click.
